The eye must travel…
The appreciation I have for art, culture and food emerged from my early career of travel as a classical violinist and pianist. I was just as fascinated by the setting of opulent concert halls around the world where I performed , as the people who congregated in them.
After completing my Master’s Degree, I landed an opportunity to create a cookbook for Oprah’s chef Art Smith (which won a James Beard Award) and moved full-time into a career of production and design. I continued traveling and refining my palette, putting together concepts for restaurants and designing interior commercial spaces, scaling up to 35,000 sq ft. MY SIGNATURE style is undeniably colorful; playful, timeless and elegant. I like to create fearless interiors that tell a story by fusing eclectic patterns, bold colors and rich textures together.
I love the feeling of sitting in front of a blank canvas, ready to paint a picture. If you can dream it, I can create it. I’m programmed to analyze commercial projects from a consumer perspective as I continuously think about how the user is going to respond, react and engage to a concept or a space.
After having my daughter Capri later in life,I created an all encompassing brand called The Spotted Cloth; a stylish parents rolodex designed to help parents navigate the LA food + scene with kids. Many have described its content as a cross between Anthony Bourdain and Carrie Bradshaw with a baby.
I currently live in a historic 1920’s Spanish Colonial revival compound in LA. Taking color to the next level, I describe its interior as a modern take on the opulence of the Renaissance period with a flair of Hollywood glam.
Most recently, I have been featured on HGTV, Discovery + Design Star: Next Gen, House Beautiful, People Magazine, Business Insider and have appeared on several lifestyle shows.
Bite Size Facts... I Grew up on the south side of Chicago. I Learned to cook during Covid through an obsession with the Food Network App. I'm a former Hanes underwear model. I boxed for 7 years (yup, 2 fights in the ring). I Play 5 instruments (piano, violin, clarinet, saxophone and flute).
